Coral Boutique Hotel-Baghdad has recently welcomed Taj Eddin Sultan as its new general manager.
Sultan, a Syrian national, brings to his new post vast international experience, having worked in the UAE, Syria and Russian Federation. He held posts with Sheraton Abu Dhabi; InterContinental Abu Dhabi; Le Meridien Abu Dhabi; Lou’lou’a Beach Resort in Sharjah; Hawthorn Deira Dubai; and Coral Julia Dumna in Aleppo, Syria. In addition, he took part in the preopening and opening of Coral Martini in Aleppo, and of Hotel Grozny City in Grozny, Chechnya, Russian Federation.
During his career, he was nominated as one of the three F&B managers in the Middle East, and is a holder of the Hawthorn award for the best hotel outside USA.
A holder of a Bachelor degree in French Literature from Damascus University and Hotel & Tourism Management Diploma from Centre International de Glion in Switzerland, Sultan is fluent in Arabic, French and English, and has a knowledge of German, Russian and Chechen languages.
“We are setting up new training programmes in the hotel, programmes that have proven the efficiency in my previous assignments. We will soon start a new media campaign to cover the local market and we will start the Ramadan promotion for our restaurant,” said Sultan.
“What I would like to see here, beside the hotel’s prosperity, is that Baghdad starts taking its deserved place in the regional map, and to regain peace for its people. It is time to start building Iraq, building the country and the people. There is a lot of potential and resources in the country that need yet to be discovered, explored and exploited.”
