Omani graduate managers – 11 in total – have recently commenced training at Etihad Airways’ headquarters in Abu Dhabi as part of the airline’s extensive recruitment drive in Oman.
The 21-month graduate management development programme is designed to train and develop managers who will play a key part in the growth of
Etihad Airways.
The programme involves a six month workplace orientation in key departments, followed by eight months of workplace learning with a specified team. The final phase involves a business-based project.
Successful graduates will attain an internationally recognised and accredited postgraduate diploma.
“Once again we are delighted to be offering more Omani nationals the opportunity to join
Etihad Airways,” commented chief people and performance officer,
Etihad Airways, Ray Gammell.
“Over the next 21 months, this group of talented young Omanis will learn vital information about
Etihad Airways and the airline industry. We are confident that they will bring a high level of talent and expertise to the team.”
“The graduate management development programme has been a great experience so far,” added Issa Al Rawahi, one of the new graduate managers.
“The material was presented in an interactive and enjoyable style. I am sure it will help me become more competent in the workplace.”
Etihad Airways’ recruitment drive in Oman aims to hire 400 Omani nationals by the end of 2012 in positions that span the spectrum of the
airline's operations.
