Radisson Royal Hotel, Dubai appoints new GM

Freddy Farid has been appointed as general manager of Radisson Royal Hotel, Dubai, by Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.

 
Farid originally hails from Ireland and has over 35 years experience in the hotel industry. He began his career in 1977 after gaining work experience in the F&B department at Nile Hilton, Egypt.
 
Farid holds a BA in Hotel Management from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management in Cairo, and later worked for Hilton International for 18 years throughout the Middle East.
 
He later went on to hold general management positions in several Rotana properties in the UAE before being promoted area vice president and managing partner.
 
“Freddy will bring a wealth of experience to his role as GM at the Radisson Royal Hotel; his experience spans all elements of the hospitality industry from Sales and Marketing to Management, Development and F&B. His experience is invaluable as we continue to grow the presence of this flagship property not only in the Middle East but globally,” said area vice president – Middle East and Sub Saharan Africa, The Carlson Rezidor Group, Mark Willis.
 
In his role as GM at the Radisson Royal Hotel, Dubai, Farid will oversee the development of the hotel, its team of 500 staff and its growth and presence in the market place.
