Ras Al Khaimah’s hotels pick up multiple awards

Ras Al Khaimah and its international hotel brands were recently honoured with regional, as well as international awards.
A total of seven awards were presented to Banyan Tree Al Wadi and its sister resort, Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach, the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa as well as DoubleTree by Hilton received five accolades including community care and social responsibility recognition, where Bin Majid Beach Hotel received one regional award.
“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the winning hotels and resorts for achieving these prestigious awards. These awards endorse the aims of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism and Development Authority in promoting Ras Al Khaimah as a global affordable luxury destination for leisure and adventure travel. They are also a testament to the hard work attributed by each of the hotels’ team members,” said COO, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism and Development Authority, Victor Louis.
At the 2012 World Travel Awards (WTA), Banyan Tree Al Wadi and Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach walked away with: Ras Al Khaimah Leading Resort; UAE Leading Villa Resort; Middle East Leading Desert Spa Resort and Middle East Leading Villa for Al Rimal Deluxe Villa.
As for the 2012 MENA Travel Awards, Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach was awarded with the UAE Leading Beach Resort; Banyan Tree Al Wadi won a Silver Award for ‘Best 5 Star Leisure Hotel’ as well as the Platinum Award for Best Spa.
Two of Hilton Worldwide’s brands were honoured with five international awards including: Holiday Check Award 2012, which is voted for by hotel guests and holidaymakers for Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa, appearing now in the Top 400 listing of Europe’s biggest travel portal holidaycheck.com. This property also received two internal awards from Hilton Hotels & Resorts; 2011 MEA Hilton Brand Award of Excellence, which recognises the property for outstanding performance on loyalty, service, condition and cleanliness and the ‘MEA Q4 Blue Energy Award’ which recognises the hotel team for their dedication and exceptional performance.
Doubletree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah was able to win two awards, including ‘2011 Crystal Cookie Community Care Award’ for commitment to community care and social responsibility and the Care Cup heading over 300 hotels worldwide
Meanwhile, Bin Majid Beach Hotel won the Platinum Award for ‘Best 4 Star Leisure Hotel’ at the 2012 MENA Travel Awards, marking the second time for the hotel to receive this award, which was previously received in 2004.
