As part of the ‘Spirit to Serve’ programme developed by Marriott International in order to continually improve the well-being of local communities, Taba Heights Marriott Red Sea Resort was nominated as recipient of the award under the ‘Environment’ banner of the programme.
It was the inspiring initiative by the hotel’s engineering team to use bicycles as a method of transportation around the resort that attracted the attention of the ‘International Social Responsibility’ team.
Reducing carbon emissions by using the club cars less often, and clear health benefits were just a few of the reasons behind choosing Taba Heights Marriott Red Sea Resort.
The aim of the social responsibility and community engagement programme is to provide opportunities to benefit local communities, strengthen cultures and help attract and retain valued associates.
With the recent addition of five green stars awarded by the ‘Green Star Hotel Initiative’, Taba Heights Marriott Red Sea Resort is demonstrating its continued committed to becoming a truly environmentally friendly resort.
