Already in gear for the approaching summer, the organisers of this year’s Abu Dhabi Summer Season have announced that the entertainment and event programme will run from July 7 until September 11.
Offering an eclectic selection of international shows, shopping promotions, prize draws and hotel and attraction offers presented by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi), the event will be held across Abu Dhabi city, Al Ain and the Western Region. It has been expertly designed to entertain UAE residents as well as regional and international visitors.
Acting executive director of tourism, TCA Abu Dhabi, Sultan Al Dhaheri noted: “Last year’s superb Summer Season witnessed a significant increase in the number of guest arrivals into the emirate – up a highly impressive 21 per cent over the same period the previous year.
“We will be looking to build on this success by offering another fantastic array of entertainment and promotions during our 2016 Summer Season, targeting key markets across the GCC, India and certain European countries including the UK, France and Germany.
“As we move towards becoming a year-round destination and our portfolio of attractions continues to grow, we are confident of establishing Abu Dhabi as a must-visit destination on the itinerary for tourists from across the world,” Al Dhaheri added.
Abu Dhabi Summer Season 2016 will run alongside the Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha holiday as well as the annual school summer break. More details will be released soon.
