In an effort to further entice the fruitful German market and boost visitor numbers by 20 per cent next year, Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) has embarked on a six-city roadshow to Germany to promote the emirate and its eclectic tourism offering.

The four-day roadshow, concluding on October 27, stops off in Munich, Duisburg, Hanover, Frankfurt, Oberursel and Baden Baden.

The ATDD delegation is led by general manager, ATDD, HE Faisal Al Nuaimi, as well as director of tourism development and marketing department, ATDD, Yamina Aoucher; promotion executive, ATDD, Shamsa Mubarak; and delegates from Ajman Saray, Fairmont Ajman and Musandam Sea Adventures Travel & Tourism.

Throughout the roadshow, meetings will be held with key tour operators and agents, including FTI Group, Central Europe DER Touristik Group and TUI, as well as L’TUR (a last minute tour operator based in Baden-Baden), Thomas Cook, Binoli travel services and others.

Al Nuaimi remarked: “We are keen to meet with the key players in the travel and tourism industry in Germany and discuss the latest developments in the sector. We are happy to explore a new cooperation with FTI Group and we look forward to increase our arrivals from Germany by strengthening our partnership and we are confident that these meetings will help spread the word about our Emirate’s unique selling points, rich offerings and stunning natural and cultural surroundings.”

During H1 of this year, hotels in Ajman recorded approximately 70,000 guests from Europe, with 40 per cent of them hailing from Germany.
