Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara officially opens in Oman

Oman has welcomed its second Anantara-branded luxury resort with the opening of Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara.

The new property is situated between a long, scenic beach and a freshwater lagoon, and borders the Al Baleed UNESCO archaeological site. In an accessible location, it is only 15km from Salalah International Airport.

Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the resort is home to 136 guest rooms and villas offering views of the ocean, the lagoon or the gardens. A total of 40 premier and deluxe rooms house luxurious handcrafted furnishings and rich textures, whilst the eight one-bedroom villas and 88 one- and two-bedroom pool villas charm each guest with personalised villa host services and separate living areas. The pool villas are also home to private temperature-controlled swimming pools.

As for facilities, luxury travellers can indulge themselves at three dining venues, including all-day dining restaurant Sakalan, serving world flavours and boasting open kitchens; Asian restaurant Mekong, serving vibrant Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine; and Al Mina, a relaxed Mediterranean beach bar and restaurant serving cocktails, barbecue delights and shisha.

Visitors to Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara can visit the Anantara Spa for numerous tempting treatments, while the resort also offers various customised wellness programmes including weight management, revitalisation, relaxation and de-stressing, detox, general wellbeing and rejuvenation.

Other facilities include a state-of-the-art fitness centre, a water sports centre, a tennis court, a beach volleyball court and an infinity pool, as well as a kids’ and teens’ club.
