Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas will be celebrating its grand debut in Europe next year with Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort in Portugal.
Joining the luxury brand’s portfolio in April 2017, the existing 280-room hotel is currently operating as Tivoli Victoria. Prior to the launch of the rebranded property, the hotel will undergo a soft refurbishment project of the main lobby and the gym. New children’s facilities will be added and a new luxury family suite category. For larger groups of family and friends, most of the hotel’s rooms are interconnecting.
As for F&B, guests to the Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort can opt to dine at EMO Restaurant and terrace, serving diverse local cuisine; Sensorial and Bartini, both of which offer Mediterranean fare and afternoon tea; the Aqua Pop Up Bistro, which serves Asian cuisine; as well as the Champagne bar, which overlooks the swimming pools, among others. Anantara’s signature Dining by Design will also be introduced for tailor-made dining experiences.
Other facilities at the property include the adults-only Cascata pool overlooking the golf course; a children’s pool and deck chairs by the kids’ club; several terraces; the Anantara Spa; various venues and settings for all types of events; and a stand-alone conference centre with the capacity to welcome up to 800 people.
CEO, Minor Hotels (Anantara’s parent company), Dillip Rajakarier enthused: “We are thrilled to announce our first Anantara in Europe, which is a real milestone for the brand. Since our recent expansion into both Europe and South America with the acquisition of Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, our strategy is to bring our existing brands into these new regions of operation and the launch of Anantara Vilamoura in Portugal is the first part of this plan.”
