Armani Hotel Dubai recently acquired its first Green Globe certification in return for its ongoing commitment to sustainability.
Green Globe, an affiliate member of the UNWTO, is a worldwide sustainability system based on internationally accepted criteria for sustainable operation and management of travel and tourism businesses.
A thorough audit was conducted by FARNEK – Green Globe’s preferred partner in the Middle East – to ensure Armani Hotel Dubai’s compliance with a strict set of sustainability criteria.
Headed by the hotel’s resident Green Champion, staff members work to address energy consumption, air quality and waste management, while exploring biodiversity initiatives, green procurement solutions and social responsibility opportunities.
Armani Hotel Dubai has introduced a number of green initiatives, including the replacement of all incandescent lights with power saving LEDs, the addition of water saving devices and water aerators, plus more.
Moreover, the iconic hotel has created a Green Page on guestroom iPads, giving guests the opportunity to engage in various sustainability initiatives. The high-end property’s dedication to maintaining excellent standards sustainably is highlighted on its website, which demonstrates its focus on preserving precious resources and creating an environmentally-conscious operation that benefits guests, colleagues, the local community and ultimately, the planet.
