Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown has inaugurated in the centre of Dubai, offering its visitors vibrant art-inspired rooms and suites, modern and sleek interiors and versatile dining outlets.
The newly opened property is home to 269 perfectly designed rooms inspired by the historical story of Dubai Creek, with sheesha lamps and artistic wallpaper setting the atmosphere and shedding light on the city’s iconic landmarks.
With art at the core of the hotel’s ethos, every corner of Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown radiates creativity, with over 200 pieces of authentic pieces from local artists having been sourced in collaboration with Alserkal Cultural Foundation, Tashkeel and XVA gallery. Adding to this, the hotel boasts a beautiful and intricately designed carpet, which was created through a partnership with the Fatima Bint Mohammed Bin Zayed Initiative (FBMI).
Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown’s dedication to art can also be spotted at its four food and beverage outlets. On the ground floor, the juice bar and concept store Bakala Jooos, is surrounded by creative artwork – from a hand-painted feature wall to woven tapestry rugs on the floor. Continuing into the Satwa and pop-art inspired cocktail bar Off the Wall, each detail throughout the venue gives a unique identity to the space, from the creative ceiling work in the shape of sound waves, to the rustic exposed brick walls, completed with street graffiti.
The hotel’s social eatery, Open Sesame, is a modern take on Emirati heritage, with souk inspired stalls and embroided abaya patterns in the entrance, whilst the rich aromas of Café Rider Custom Roastery fills the air.
The second floor is home to the lively pool-side bar and shisha lounge, Orange Feels, that boasts a trendy Aperol bar overlooking the infinity pool with Bali inspired hanging chairs for the picture-perfect opportunity.
