Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) has inked a decade-long agreement with Bahrain Specialist Hospital (BSH) for an airport clinic in the new passenger terminal building at Bahrain International Airport (BIA).
The winning bidder of a public tender, BSH will provide a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, who will offer round-the-clock medical services to passengers and airport staff. The healthcare professionals will also act as first medical responders in emergencies.
CEO, BAC, Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah enthused on the agreement: “Health and safety is one of our highest priorities, and we expect to see the level of service improve further when we launch the new passenger terminal building. BSH was selected through a competitive tendering process on the grounds of its technical capabilities and the expertise of its team. It has a reputation for excellence in healthcare across the Kingdom as the First Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited Hospital in Bahrain, which is recognised worldwide as a symbol of the highest quality. We look forward to work in partnership with BSH to support this vital function at our new world class airport.”
Meanwhile, chairman, BSH, Hamed Rashid Al Zayani declared: “We congratulate BAC on the new passenger terminal building and are delighted to enter into this partnership with them. This agreement aims to provide the best medical services to BIA users and represents a unique opportunity for BSH, as the airport clinic will be an essential addition to other services for travellers to and from the airport.”
