In line with its efforts to preserve the environment and drive the development of the community, Ramses Hilton in Cairo has partnered with the Egyptian Food Bank to donate surplus food from events and weddings held at the hotel.
The Egyptian Food Bank will repackage donated meals and distribute them to underprivileged areas of the city.
As for the leftover cooked food, Ramses Hilton will be donating meals to the Egyptian Society for Mercy to Animals (ESMA), a charity association that operates a shelter and adoption centre for rescued animals. So far, the hotel has donated more than 600 kg of food to the shelter.
To drive the leading initiative, the hotel’s Blue Energy Committee recently organised a visit to ESMA, where they spent the day feeding and spending time with the centre’s animals.
