Qatar recently witnessed the opening of Centara West Bay Residences & Suites Doha, the city’s new waterfront hotel.
The new property contributes 265 rooms to Qatar’s total room count and represents Centara Hotels & Resorts’ debut in the country. It stands in the city’s West Bay district and overlooks the Arabian Gulf, while being within arm’s reach of the lively Doha Corniche and 25 minutes from Qatar’s Hamad International Airport.
Those staying at the new property can look forward to luxurious interiors and facilities, which reflect both Thai hospitality and charming Qatari culture.
CEO, Centara Hotels and Resorts, Thirayuth Chirathivat remarked: “Doha is one of the most dynamic destinations in the world today and we are delighted to enter this important market with such a spectacular new hotel. Centara West Bay Residences & Suites Doha is an iconic addition to the city’s skyline. We look forward to welcoming all guests to Doha in the future, as the city embarks on an exciting new era of international prominence and prosperity.”
The newly opened Centara West Bay Residences & Suites Doha is home to a number of accommodation options, including studios, suites, one- to three-bedroom apartments and four-bedroom penthouses.
F&B options at the property include Caprice, a café-inspired restaurant serving Thai cuisine and international fare; Dalchini, serving progressive Indian dishes; a chic lobby lounge and a pool bar. Guests can also opt for in-room dining, while residences have their own cooking and dining facilities.
Those staying at the hotel can additionally make the most of an indoor pool, a fitness centre and an aerobics studio, a kids’ club and children’s pool, a gift shop, a prayer room and two flexible meeting rooms.
Centara Hotels & Resorts is keenly eyeing the potential of the Middle East region. The company inaugurated Centara Muscat Hotel in 2017, and following this week’s grand opening of Centara West Bay Residences & Suites Doha, it will be launching Centara Grand Hotel Doha in H1 of 2020.
