City Seasons Muscat recently completed the re-certification for ISO 22000 for a second consecutive year.
Enthusing on the news was group general manager, City Seasons Hotels, George Demitry: “The management involvement and pro-active approach of all the employees have definitely contributed to such an achievement,” said group general manager, City Seasons Hotels, George Demitry.
“The vision at City Seasons Hotels is to move forward in all areas where guest safety and comfort are our first priority. ISO 22000 system being designed to measure and improve the effectiveness of food safety performance in line with the legislative requirements, it was a normal decision for us to move forward into that direction with the aim to carry out a similar exercise in all other properties of the chain in the near future,” Demitry added.
City Seasons Muscat’s fully trained Food Safety Team, chosen among hotel employees, aims to improve standards of hygiene and sanitation, follow the HACCP Plan, ensure safe food processing and food handling practices and implement the Food Safety Programme across the hotel.
Also commenting on the news was general manager, City Seasons Muscat, Christian Palacin: “We are really proud of this achievement. Since early days, our hotel has been a leader of change whereby implementation of any new system or procedure was done with the guest satisfaction in mind. This internationally-prized recognition comes as the result of an excellent team work for mapping processes and system requirements as well as an effective implementation of the whole scheme, to which I have the employees to thank.”
