Cyprus Airways scooped an honorary accolade at the recent Cyprus Tourism Awards 2020.
During the special event, which was held at Nicosia’s Lemon Park on September 23, Cyprus Airways acquired the Bronze award in the ‘Strategy and Innovation’ category, for its offering and accessibility enhancement, as well as its initiatives to extend the tourist season while positively enhancing the local tourism product.
Thrilled with the news, chief commercial officer, Cyprus Airways, Valentina Bukreeva declared: “We are delighted and honoured to receive this prestigious award. As the situation is still constantly evolving, we need to be vigilant in order to respond to any future opportunities in the best possible way.”
Bukreeva added: “This award exemplifies our continuous efforts to attract new tourism, expanding the travel options for Cypriots, and enriching Cyprus’ tourism product, therefore contributing to the local economy.”
The Cyprus Tourism Awards recognise best practices, high-quality services and innovative initiatives in the tourism sector. Award categories this year, which was the event’s second year, included ‘Strategy and Innovation’, ‘Hotels and Resorts’, ‘Travel Offering, Destinations – Tourist Attractions’, ‘Digital Tourism’, ‘Branding/PR/Media/People/Strategy’ and ‘Sustainability/Corporate Social Responsibility’.
