Cyprus rises as a preferred destination for French tourists

The Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) has revealed that according to data released by the Syndicate of French Tour Operators (SETO) within the framework of its recent event, Forum 2015, for the period of November 1, 2014 – October 31, 2015, Cyprus witnessed the second largest increase in organised package holidays, in the category of mid-distance.

It is estimated that for 2015 the total increase in tourist flow from France, made up of both organised package holidays and single trips, will reach 25 per cent, or around 36,500 arrivals. This is also supported by CTO’s decision to upgrade a fact supported by CTO having increased the prominence of France as a feeder market.

The market now presents a particularly positive scenario for Cyprus, bolstered by the French tour operators’ interest in the destination for holiday programmes.
