Eager to promote Cyprus’ impressive golf tourism portfolio, the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) successfully attended the recently concluded International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) 2017.
The CTO’s stand, branded ‘Cyprus In your Heart’, comprised of the island’s four golf courses – Aphrodite Hills PGA National Cyprus, Eléa, Minthis Hills and Secret Valley, as well as hotels and hotel operators that are popular among golfers: Aphrodite Hills Resort, Kanika Hotels & Resorts, Thanos Hotels & Resorts, Columbia Resort, Capital Coast Resort & Spa, Constantinou Bros Hotels and Elysium Hotel.
Representing the CTO throughout the duration of the show was tourist officer A’, golf tourism coordinator, Maro Kazepi, who held meetings with over 55 golf tour operators and journalists from 18 countries.
Kazepi shed light on the competitive advantages of Cyprus as a golf tourism destination and witnessed interest from existing and new golf tour operators.
Armed with new direct winter flights, Cyprus is expected to attract golfers from mature key markets as well as new markets, including Ireland.
Keen on promoting Cyprus’ golf tourism offering, the CTO, in cooperation with its golf tourism stakeholders, is committed to investing in promotional and PR activities in key golf markets.
