DAMAC Properties is at ATM with the aim of sharing its latest news to attendees.

The company revealed at the show that in the two years since its inception, DAMAC Hotels & Resorts, the company’s hospitality arm expects the number of its keys across the GCC will reach 15,000 by 2021.

The hospitality arm includes four distinct hospitality operators – AYKON Hotels & Resorts, DAMAC Maison Royale, DAMAC Maison and DAMAC Maison De Ville – each with a unique offering and experience to cater to various customer segments.

Dubai’s occupancy rates have remained in the high-80’s and will continue to do so with such events on the emirate’s tourism agenda.”

According to research firm Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL), more than 41,000 new rooms are expected to be added to Dubai’s available hotel rooms by 2019, to accommodate the more than 20 million visitors annually that the Government of Dubai is aiming to achieve by 2020. With the significant boost in the number of hotel rooms and apartments that DAMAC Hotels & Resorts will manage, and properties to be managed under the DAMAC Maison brand accounting for a majority of the added rooms, it is reportedly set to become one of the largest hospitality operators in the Middle East.

Further news shared by DAMAC Properties is that the new AYKON City development now presents its latest tourist attraction, AYKON Dare.

Situated at the crown of the tallest tower in AYKON City, daredevils can venture out onto the roofline at over 285m below. The attraction is modelled on the experiences offered by the EdgeWalk at Toronto’s iconic CN Tower or the Sky Tower’s SkyWalk in Auckland.

Accessible from the 78th floor lounge and dining room, visitors walk out onto the landing platform before beginning their ascent, where they are harnessed to the safety rail leading up the roofline to the upper level.

Visitors can also step up and out into the glass-floored viewing capsule in the tower’s AYKONIC DAMAC’s ‘D’.

The AYKON Dare experience is carefully controlled by trained professionals using state-of-the-art safety equipment and is expected to last around 45 minutes to an hour.

DAMAC Properties has also launched an exclusive collection of hotel spa villas in the heart of the serene AKOYA Oxygen master development.

The hotel spa villas form a community designed to offer the tranquillity of a retreat at home, and is set within the lush green environment of AKOYA Oxygen in Dubai. The limited edition hotel villas come standard with a private garden spa, providing a choice of Jacuzzi or sauna, and are fully furnished, in addition to being serviced, for the ultimate experience in luxury.

The project is set around the Trump World Golf Club, Dubai, an 18-hole championship-standard golf course which is being designed by world famous golfing legend, Tiger Woods. The course will be managed by The Trump Organization, which has become one of the most influential golf course operators in the world.
