DCT Abu Dhabi heads to Saudi Arabia with tourism delegation

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) recently embarked on a Saudi roadshow with some of the UAE capital’s leading tourism entities.

Organised in partnership with Yas Island (Experience Hub), the roadshow stopped off at a number of hotels located within key cities in the KSA. In attendance were travel trade representatives who were informed of the UAE capital’s touristic offering, culture and appeal to families with children.

Abu Dhabi tourism stakeholders taking part in the initiative included Al Ain Zoo, Al Raha Beach Hotel, Etihad Airways, Expo 2020, Jannah Hotels & Resorts, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Novotel & IBIS and Rixos Saadiyat Island.

Al Zarouni commented: “DCT Abu Dhabi’s tourism roadshow in Saudi Arabia was a vital event for our delegation to establish new industry connections, in order to welcome greater numbers of tourists into Abu Dhabi.

“Directly engaging with the local businesses and the tourism community within Saudi Arabia helped showcase the rich tourism assets the UAE has to offer. Undertaking such a roadshow allowed us to directly connect with like-minded organisations and meet with other industry leaders to exchange knowledge and experience and to promote Abu Dhabi to one of our key markets,” he concluded.
