Marriott Marquis City Center Doha Hotel recently welcomed Marta Nobre, from Beja, Portugal, as its new director of human resources.
In her new position, Nobre will be overseeing a total of 626 associates and managers, and will be directly managing 14 team members who are part of the human resources department.
She joins the hotel with more than 17 years of hospitality experience and began her career as an HR coordinator at Sheraton Algarve & Pine Cliffs Resort. She then moved on to her first pre-opening experience as assistant human resources manager at the Sheraton Porto Hotel & Spa, where she worked for six years and was promoted to human resources manager.
Nobre then had her second pre-opening experience at the Vidago Palace as human resources manager and then moved to the Middle East to work at two different Mövenpick Hotels.

Nobre has a Bachelor Degree in Public Relations and Business Communication and an MBA in Hospitality and Tourism. In 2011 she obtained a Masters Degree in Management and Strategic Development of Human Resources.
