The St. Regis Abu Dhabi has welcomed Sona Shah on board as director of marketing.
Shah assumes her new position with over a decade’s worth of marketing experience, and thus, brings with her extensive strategic marketing and communications knowledge.
Throughout her career, she has worked for The May Fair Hotel London and 13 Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotels in the UK, prior to joining Starwood Hotels & Resorts in January 2014.
As for her experience in the Middle East, Shah has worked at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel as marketing manager, and as complex marketing manager on taskforce for the conversion of The Westin and Le Méridien Hotels in Bahrain City Centre, Bahrain. Following this, she worked as director of marketing at The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, which opened in February 2016.
Shah holds a BSc in Business Management & Marketing from Brunel University, London, and has completed the IBM Graduate Programme. She is a member of Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ Marketing & Communications Council and will take on representing the St. Regis brand across the Middle East Region.
In her new position, Shah will be responsible for managing the marketing department, overseeing all aspects encompassing strategic planning, content development, digital landscape, events, brand activation, loyalty programmes, public relations and advertising.
