Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has appointed Stefan Breg as director of food and beverage – Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME).
In his newly assumed role, Breg will spearhead the formulation and implementation of the company’s F&B strategy across the EAME region which currently operates approximately 1,200 restaurant and bars spanning over 260 hotels. Adding to this, Breg will also work to develop new restaurant and bar concepts for Starwood’s 345 upcoming renovations and new properties across its 10 lifestyle brands. His role will entail training and development, and enhancing the F&B performance across Starwood’s EAME portfolio.
To be based in Dubai, Breg will support the pipeline of restaurants and bars in the company’s upcoming new-build and refurbished hotels.
He joins with over 25 years of experience and has a proven track-record of providing robust strategic development for restaurants and bars.
Throughout his career, he has worked with more than 200 restaurants from concept to opening across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Prior to his new position, he headed concept development for InterContinental Hotels Group Asia & Middle East and held senior roles at Hilton Worldwide and Ernest & Young.
Breg is a renowned industry speaker and lecturer on F&B strategy and has spent five years as visiting professor at the Lausanne accredited Emirates Academy in Dubai.
