Millennium Resort Mussanah has welcomed Kiran Sonawane to the team as director of sales and marketing.
Sonawane assumed his new position with more 17 years of experience. He specialises in positioning and managing luxury beach properties, and brings him a great understanding of the travel and tourism industry.
As director of sales and marketing, Sonawane will oversee the hotel’s sales and marketing initiatives, including strategic business partnerships and developing sales and marketing promotions to boosting occupancy, growth and profitability.
Throughout his career, Sonawane has worked for a number of hospitality groups, such as Taj Palaces, SLH Property, Banyan Tree & Angsana Hotels, ONYX Hospitality and Sarovar Hotels Group.
He kick-started his career in his home country of India in 2002 with Renaissance Hotels by Marriott, and he rapidly climbed the ranks, moving on to work in markets such as the Maldives, Australia and Sri Lanka.
