Dubai International (DXB) recently embraced Air India’s first Boeing 787 Dreamliner to arrive from the South Indian city of Kochi in Kerala.
In light of the occasion, a traditional water salute and a cake cutting ceremony took place, attended by the airline’s crew and representatives at DXB’s Concourse D.
Air India is one of seven carriers to connect Dubai to 19 Indian destinations. India represents DXB’s most popular destination, with 11.4 million passengers having travelled there in 2016.
An average of 78 daily flights run between DXB and India.
Adding to this, the Kochi-Dubai route marks the Air India’s second Dreamliner service to Dubai, joining the carrier’s Delhi-Dubai Dreamliner flights.
