New Airline takes to the skies from the sands of the UAE
MIDEX AIRLINES has arrived at the right time to the right place,
MIDEX AIRLINES LLC is a national carrier of the United Arab Emirates.
It was created in 2007 under a License from the Government of Dubai:
“Passengers & Cargo Transportation and Air Cargo Services”
MIDEX AIRLINES is promoted by Dr. Issam Khairallah.
Dr Khairallah started MIDEX (International Express Courier & Cargo), having its hub at Orly airport in France, in 1990 with just 10 people.
Today, the Group has over 25,000 professionals in 32 countries making it the world’s fifth largest integrator.
MIDEX AIRLINES is part of the Group MIDEX who’s turnover for 2007 was 3.6 billion Euros (almost 20 billion AED) and is the exclusive agent for many clients including La Poste, Royal Mail, Swiss Post, ABX in Belgium and Chronopost. Several more exclusive agreements are in the negotiating stages in countries like India and China.
A major new airline has risen from the sands of the United Arab Emirates and takes to the skies. This was announced at the 2007 Dubai Air Show.
MIDEX AIRLINES, received the license for cargo and passenger operations earlier this year.
MIDEX AIRLINES started the cargo operations to six major destinations that include Orly in France, Mumbai and Madras in India, Dhaka in Bangladesh, Istanbul in Turkey, and Beirut in Lebanon.
MIDEX AIRLINES has been working on its launch for two-and-a-half years, after a request by the Abu Dhabi government to start flying from Al Ain and put the airport on the map.
MIDEX AIRLINES will be the United Arab Emirate's first dedicated cargo airline and the largest cargo operator in the Middle East with a privately owned fleet consists of six Airbus A300B4-203F and one Boeing B747-200F.MIDEX AIRLINES became the fourth UAE-registered carrier to take to the skies. The other three are Emirates, Etihad and Air Arabia.
MIDEX AIRLINES is 100 per cent privately owned by the established Group MIDEX, which positions itself as the ‘fifth Worldwide Integrator’ – it’s less high profile than the ‘big four’ perhaps, at least to the man on the street, but not to the freighting fraternity.
MIDEX AIRLINEShas chosen Al Ain International Airport as their home base and main hub for their international cargo business. This operation will take advantage of Al Ain Airport's strategic location with easy road access to the entire UAE, international air and sea connections to and from GCC neighbours.
The facilities at Al Ain Airport are among the best in the world. Al Ain is close to Oman and linked to both Abu Dhabi and Dubai by a four-lane highway, which most times makes traveling between Al Ain and Dubai easier and quicker than between Dubai and Sharjah .
And for MIDEX AIRLINES, the crowning factor was that Al Ain is not a crowded airport like other UAE airports. “We get a nice straight approach every time, saving on time and on fuel while clearances are quicker to obtain providing with least possible turnaround time,.
“For our network stretching from Al Ain either side to Orly and Dhaka, we will carry 200 tonnes a day which is a very good volume. MIDEX AIRLINES can also carry fresh produce daily as all our planes are refrigerated.”
Initially, from its hub airport of Al Ain, it will offer cargo services to six major destinations that include Orly in France, Mumbai and Madras in India, Dhaka in Bangladesh, Istanbul in Turkey and Beirut in Lebanon. More destinations will be added later.
MIDEX AIRLINES can ensure transportation and delivery of all parcels and cargo to the door of the consignee using the massive network of its subdivision MIDEX (International Express Courier & Cargo), which has its hub at Orly's airport.
This will ensure that all parcels will be custom cleared and delivered across Europe, the USA and Canada in record time with systematic Proof Of Delivery. All cargo and parcel shipments will be monitored at all times using MIDEX's Track & Trace system.
