Six Senses Zighy Bay wins twice

Six Senses Zighy Bay in Oman has announced at ATM that it has been voted the Middle East’s Leading Luxury Beach Resort and Oman’s Leading Resort at the Grand Final of the World Travel Awards (WTA) – also known as the travel industry ‘Oscars’.
In a worldwide survey conducted by the WTA, amongst 183,000 professionals in the travel and tourism industry, Six Senses Zighy Bay is proud to have received two such coveted awards in a market of such tough competition.
The resort received the award at a presentation ceremony held in Dubai coinciding with the start of ATM. The first award, Middle East’s Leading Luxury Beach Resort, was received by Minister of Tourism, Oman, H.E. Dr. Rajiha Bint Abdul Ameer Bin Ali.
The second, Oman’s Leading Resort, was accepted by resort manager, Six Senses Zighy Bay, Wayne Lunt. Sheikh Sultan Al Qassimi, one of Zighy Bay’s owners and general manager, Six Senses Zighy Bay, Rochelle Kilgariff, were both present at the ceremony.
Kilgariff commented: “Winning these awards means so much to all of us here at Zighy Bay and is a real tribute to the resort’s wonderful, accommodating and professional team.

Six Senses Zighy Bay, which is located on the northern Musandam Peninsula in the Sultanate of Oman, offers indigenous village style accommodation situated between sweeping mountains on one side and a sandy beach on the other.
