EgyptAir and Air Cairo sign Memorandum of Understanding


EgyptAir and Air Cairo recently inked a preliminary Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance their strategic positioning and support, and sustain networks and fleet.

This alliance is a result of instructions from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and forms part of EgyptAir’s ambitious plan to reach new destinations and enhance its footprint in the domestic and international markets in light of the repercussions of COVID-19.

The newly signed MoU includes a number of initiatives, including exchange of interlining, Special Prorate Agreements (SPAs), codesharing on domestic and international routes and Schedule Coordination from/to Alexandria, Sharm el Sheikh, Hurghada, Assuit and Sohag airports.

The new alliance is also expected to provide competitive advantages for the customers of both carriers.
