As of October 30, 2016, Emirates Airline will be deploying an A380 aircraft to service its daily non-stop services between Dubai and Auckland, New Zealand, replacing the current Boeing 777-200LR.
Emirates Airline has been flying the route since March 1, in addition to three daily A380s flying from Auckland to Dubai and beyond via Australia, and a daily Boeing 777-300ER from Christchurch.
Flight EK448 will depart Dubai at 10:05, arriving in Auckland the following day at 11:10 (local time). Flight EK449 will depart Auckland each night at 21:15, arriving in Dubai the following morning at 05:35 (local time).
The Dubai-based carrier now has 80 Airbus A380s serving its network. Last month, Emirates Airline placed a new order for two new A380 aircraft, to be delivered in Q4 of 2017, bringing its order books for the aircraft to 64.
The airline’s A380s currently serve 40 destinations spanning the globe, and as of July 1, Vienna will become the next A380 destination.
