On October 27, 2019, Emirates Airline will officially deploy an A380 aircraft on its four-times-weekly Cairo route.
The only airline to operate a scheduled A380 service to Cairo, Emirates Airline will replace the 777-300ER aircraft currently operating EK923 and EK924 on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with its flagship aircraft.
This development follows the airline’s announcement earlier this year that it will increase the frequency of flights between Dubai and Cairo, adding four additional flights a week to its existing thrice-daily service this month.
The four new flights, EK921 and EK922, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, will take the total number of weekly Emirates flights serving Cairo to 25. Along with the new A380 service, Emirates Airline will now provide 9,200 seats per week in each direction, offering Egyptian travellers even greater connectivity to the world, as well as boosting trade and tourism into Egypt.
The A380 aircraft features a total of 489 seats in a three-class configuration, with 399 spacious seats in economy class, 76 seats in business class and 14 first class private suites.
