Due to heightened demand, between June 1 and October 26 of this year, Emirates Airline will operate its A380 aircraft on its Dubai-Amman route.
One of the airline’s three daily flights will be upgraded to this larger aircraft, marking the very first time a scheduled A380 service to the Jordanian capital has existed.
Senior vice president, commercial operations for Gulf, Middle East and Iran, Emirates Airline, Adil Al Ghaith remarked: “Jordan has been a strategically important market in this region for Emirates for a long time. The upgrade to an A380 service to Amman during the peak summer period is in line with our strategy to better serve seasonal peaks and strengthen our presence in key markets, by providing an industry-leading experience for our customers and offering them a seamless A380 experience via Dubai to major destinations around the world.”
Emirates Airline customers travelling from Amman will be granted the chance to experience the the A380 aircraft when travelling to Dubai during the aforementioned period. They will then be able to enjoy further A380 experiences on almost 50 of the airline’s destinations, including Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Paris, Sydney, New York and Los Angeles, among many others.
From June 1 until October 26, the A380 flight will depart Dubai at 14:00, arriving in Amman at 15:55, while the return A380 service will leave Amman at 18:00, arriving in Dubai at 22:00.
Travellers can enjoy a three-class configured aircraft, with 427 generously pitched seats in economy class on the lower deck, 76 flat-bed seats in business class and 14 first class private suites on the upper deck. Those in the first class cabin can make the most of the on-board shower spas, while both first and business class customers can socialise in the onboard lounge, which serves complimentary beverages, canapés and other special delicacies at 40,000 feet.
All classes can enjoy delicious meals and impressive amenities, as well as the ‘ice’ entertainment system, which now offers over 4,000 channels of on-demand entertainment.
Due to seasonal demand, Emirates Airline will also be deploying its Airbus A380 aircraft to Boston, the US, and Glasgow, the UK.
