Emirates Airline has inaugurated a brand-new lounge at Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport, offering first class and business class customers, as well as Skywards Platinum and Gold members, unparalleled levels of comfort.
Replacing an older facility, the new lounge is located in a more convenient location in departure Terminal 3, Level 2. It will cater to the needs of those travelling aboard the two daily Rome-Dubai flights offered by Emirates Airline.
Spanning almost 950m2, the lounge can seat up to 162 customers comfortably. It sports a contemporary design and a fresh look and feel, and features LED TVs, leather armchairs, a choice of formal and relaxed seating, a dining area, a prayer room, shower facilities, a business centre and bespoke artwork.
As for F&B, travellers can indulge in a complimentary hot and cold buffet, featuring Italian and Roman specialities, seasonal options and a fine selection of international wines and beverages. A childrens’ menu is also available.
Commenting on the launch was divisional senior vice president, airport services, Emirates Airline, Mohammed Mattar: “The new lounge represents an investment of over $4.5 million by Emirates Airline, and is an integral part of our focus to provide our premium and loyal customers with the highest levels of comfort and convenience, not just in the air, but also on the ground.
“The new Rome airport lounge brings to 42 the number of Emirates’ lounges, making it one of the largest airline networks of lounges across the world, and we’ll continue to open new ones and refurbish others,” Mattar added.
