Etihad Airways’ award-winning loyalty programme, Etihad Guest, has teamed up with Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the country, to launch a co-branded credit card.
The partnership allows the bank’s customers to convert their EI Smart Miles into Etihad Guest Miles, which can then be used to book flights or be redeemed on the airline’s Reward Shop. The new card will complement the existing programme, giving customers more opportunity to earn miles and redeem for rewards.
Vice president commercial partnerships, Etihad Airways, Yasser Al Yousuf said: “We are proud to expand our partnership with Emirates Islamic to bring a new card to the UAE market. Our partnership will further extend the reach of the Etihad Guest membership programme through the bank’s nationwide customer base and offer opportunities for its customers to enjoy the luxury travel, benefits and privileges Etihad Airways and Etihad Guest have to offer.”
Deputy CEO, consumer banking and wealth management, Emirates Islamic, Wasim Saifi added: “At Emirates Islamic, we always strive to provide our customers with the most innovative banking solutions to fulfil their lifestyle needs. We are pleased to partner with Etihad Guest to offer our customers the benefits of a versatile and dynamic loyalty programme.”
