The hotel division of Spain’s Grupo Hotusa, Eurostars Hotel Company, is celebrating its grand debut in Africa with the opening of its very first hotel in Morocco, the four-star Eurostars Sidi Maarouf.
The brand new Eurostars Sidi Maarouf is a modern property which is situated in the La Colline district in the south of Casablanca.
An ideal option for both business and leisure travellers to Morocco, the hotel is home to a multi-purpose hall and two event halls offering plenty of natural light, an outdoor pool, a gym, massage room and yoga room, plus much more.
President, Grupo Hotusa, Amancio López Seijas commented on the company’s milestone: “Having a hotel in Africa was an objective we have had for a long time; we are sure that this will be the first of many. We have a lot of expectations in Morocco, a destination that has a great potential for growth in the urban segment.”
Meanwhile, having noticed the potential that Africa holds, the Spanish company has yet another project on course in Casablanca and is also investigating further opportunities in Morocco as well as other African countries by means of lease contracts, management contracts with purchase of the building or other mixed options, such as franchise.
“We believe that our know-how, based on over 20 years’ experience running hotels, can be perfectly replicated in several African destinations,” concluded Seijas.
