Mohamed Shawky, an Egyptian national, has been promoted to the position of executive assistant manager – rooms at The Meydan Hotel.
He previously held the position of cluster director of revenue of The Meydan Hotel and its sister property, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa.
Shawky assumes his new position with 14 years of hospitality experience in front office operations, sales, revenue and reservation management. He has worked for various regional and international hotel chains spanning Egypt and the UAE.
As executive assistant manager- rooms, Shawky oversee all aspects of the hotel operations, heading the front office, housekeeping and laundry. He will also continue leading the cluster revenue department for both sister properties.
