Copthorne Hotel Dubai has welcomed Sri Widodo as executive housekeeper.
Widodo joins the team with over 20 years of housekeeping experience. He has worked for a number of international and local hospitality chains spanning the Middle East and Indonesia, including Shangri-La, Nikko and Rotana. Prior to his new challenge, he served as the executive housekeeper at Tamani Hotel Marina in Dubai.
In his new capacity, Widodo will manage the daily operations of the hotel’s housekeeping department, ensuring that the guestrooms, hotel lobby, corridors and public areas are clean and tidy, and the property looks fresh and attractive. He will also organise and plan the housekeeping team’s work schedules and the deep cleaning programme for the hotel, while also training team members.
General manager, Copthorne Hotel Dubai, Glenn Nobbs commented on Widodo’s appointment: “We are confident that Widodo’s lifelong experience as a housekeeper and his strong record of leadership will ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction, in keeping with the Copthorne Hotel brand standards.”
Meanwhile, Widodo enthused: “I am very proud to join the Copthorne Hotel Dubai, becoming part of the rapidly expanding company that is Millennium Hotels and Resorts, and I look forward to making a positive impact in my new role. The most successful housekeepers are those who take ownership of their property, so we must create an environment where you can completely trust your staff to finish the job because they take ownership of the rooms or their assigned areas.”
Widodo has a diploma in Hotel and Tourism from the AISI Hotel and Tourism Institute in Indonesia.
