InterContinental Doha Hotel & Residences has welcomed Michael Frydas as the new F&B director.
In his new capacity Frydas, a Cypriot national, will oversee the hotel’s diverse food and beverage portfolio, which includes 13 restaurants and bars, as well as banqueting and catering services.
Frydas has invaluable experience from international luxury hospitality brands, including Marriott, Starwood and Kempinski. Prior to assuming his new role, he worked as the cluster director of F&B at Marsa Malaz Kempinski and Kempinski Residences in Doha, Qatar.
Director of operations for IHG Northern Gulf and general manager of InterContinental Doha, Andreas Pfister commented on Frydas’ appointment: “Michael’s passion for luxury, strategic leadership and understanding of operational excellence will make him a key player in the continuous success of InterContinental Doha’s restaurants and bars.”
Frydas has a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management and Tourism acquired from the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Montreux, Switzerland. He started his hospitality career at Hotel Principe di Savoia as an F&B Trainee in Milan, Italy.
