Salalah International Airport recently welcomed its inaugural direct charter flight from Russia’s capital of Moscow, operated by NordWind Airlines, ahead of the Khareef season in Dhofar.
NordWind Airlines is scheduled for two weekly direct flights from Moscow to Salalah.
On the development, CEO, Salalah International Airport, Salim bin Awadh al Yafei said: “The airport has completed its preparations in cooperation with our strategic partners to welcome Nordwind Airlines. Our preparations are in line with the plans to receive more than 5,400 tourists from Russia to Dhofar during the winter tourism season, making it the first charter flight from Moscow.”
NordWind Airlines has a fleet of 32 aircraft of different sizes, with 2,845 employees and operates in 110 cities across four continents in the world. The airline operates to a number of countries in the MENA region, inclusive of Morocco, Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Nordwind Airlines is ranked as Russia’s eighth largest airline and Russia’s sixth passenger transportation.
