flydubai will be adding two new European routes to its network in 2018, to Krakow, Poland, and Catania, Italy.
Flights to the Polish city are scheduled to commence on April 8, 2018, while the Catania route will begin on June 13, 2018.
The airline will be the first in the UAE to offer direct daily flights to the two destinations, expanding its network to over 100 destinations in 47 countries.
Commenting on the news was CEO, flydubai, Ghaith Al Ghaith: “With the launch of flights to Krakow and Catania, flydubai is committed to open up new direct air links to Dubai and we strive to expand our network to offer our passengers more choice. Our latest route launches are testament to that commitment and demonstrate our efforts in offering our passengers more options to explore our network especially as we see more connecting traffic onto our network as a result of our interline and codeshare agreements.”
The new route to Krakow will grow the airline’s Central and Eastern European network, which currently consists of 24 destinations, including Belgrade, Bratislava, Bucharest, Prague, Skopje, Sarajevo and Sofia.
Furthermore, the Catania route will mark flydubai’s entry into the Southern European market and will open up direct air links to Italy.
Emirates Airline will codeshare on both routes, as part of its partnership with flydubai.
