flydubai’s inaugural flight to Kinshasa, Congo, recently landed at N’djili Airport (Kinshasa International Airport – FIH).
On board the inaugural flight was a delegation led by senior vice president, commercial operations – UAE, GCC, Indian Subcontinent and Africa, flydubai, Sudhir Sreedharan, which was greeted by Director General, Civil Aviation Authority, Tshiumba Pmunga Jean and Cabinet Director, Minister of Transport, Kufula Makila Rex.
Representing the first UAE carrier to offer direct air links to the Congolese capital, flydubai will operate daily flights to N’djili Airport, with one stop in Entebbe, Uganda.
The carrier’s new Kinshasa route marks another gateway for passengers from the GCC, Russia and the Indian Subcontinent into Central Africa. Passengers from the city will also benefit from access to more than 90 destinations on the flydubai network and through its codeshare partnership with Emirates Airline.
