flydubai has officially commenced services to Tashkent, Uzebkistan.
Launched on March 11, the new service makes flydubai the first airline in the UAE to offer direct flights to the Central Asian nation.
On board the inaugural flight was a senior delegation from the UAE, led by Minister of Economy in the UAE, HE Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori.
Upon arrival at Tashkent International Airport, the delegation was received by the Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, Shuhrat Vafaev and Ambassador of the UAE to Uzbekistan, HE Mohammed Al Mehairbi.
The new Tashkent service will operate five times weekly from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport and will become a daily service from May 31, 2019, with Emirates Airline codesharing on the route.
