Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced that it will be boosting its portfolio of hotels in Japan, with a brand new property in the centre of Tokyo’s bustling Otemachi business district, scheduled for spring 2020.
The high-end hotel will be part of a mixed-use development and will occupy the upper six floors of a 39-storey office tower. It will stand within an arm’s reach of transit routes and numerous shopping and dining opportunities, while offering easy access to the nightlife of downtown Tokyo.
President and CEO, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, J. Allen Smith commented: “A landmark hotel in one of the best locations in Tokyo, this will be a striking property that speaks to our confidence in this city as we meet the growing demand of Four Seasons guests and international luxury travellers visiting Tokyo.
“We have been seeking the right opportunity to extend our presence here and are excited to work in partnership with Mitsui Fudosan to introduce a new Four Seasons experience in Tokyo, one that will appeal to business and leisure travellers, as well as the domestic market. Japanese outbound travellers represent a significant number of Four Seasons guests around the world and we look forward to offering our Japanese guests a new opportunity to experience Four Seasons at home.”
The new hotel will offer a contemporary and classic design, and will grant sweeping views across the city of Tokyo.
Guests to the hotel will be able to enjoy world-class dining through multiple indoor and outdoor restaurants and bars; a state-of-the-art spa; a fitness centre and indoor pool; extensive meeting and events spaces; and an Executive Club lounge for business travellers.
Having been present in Tokyo for over 25 years, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts will be opening the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto in autumn of this year.
