Salalah Rotana Resort witnessed a significant rise in guest arrivals during this year’s fruitful Khareef season.
During this popular tourism period, key regional airlines such as Oman Air, flydubai and Qatar Airway, increased their frequencies to Salalah to cater to the ever-increasing demand.
Salalah Rotana Resort welcomed more than 37,000 guests throughout Khareef season, bringing forth a 35 per cent year-on-year rise, compared to the corresponding period in 2015.
The majority of visitors hailed from neighbouring GCC countries, while topping the nationality list were Omani nationals followed by guests from the UAE, who were followed by other GCC nationals from the KSA, Kuwait, Bahrain as well as other destinations within the Middle East.
The hotel‘s general manager, Hossam Kamal enthused on the results: “We had a remarkable increase in the number of guest arrivals this year during Khareef resulting in impressive results compared to last year. Prior to the start of the season, we set out with a media campaign focusing on our resort as well as the region’s tourism offerings. Our guests from other GCC countries love the destination for its cooler climate, natural beauty unrivalled scenery and the outdoor activities available.”
