Hossam Kamal has assumed the role of general manager at Amwaj Rotana in Dubai.
Boasting over 24 years of experience, Kamal is a veteran in the hospitality industry who brings along with him to Amwaj Rotana astute commercial and operations knowledge. He is an acclaimed visionary leader with keen skills in identifying and closing new business, expanding existing business and winning customer loyalty.
Having begun his career in Cairo, Egypt, Kamal has worked for renowned brands in the hospitality industry such as InterContinental Hotels Group, prior to moving to the GCC and joining Rotana in 2004 as front office manager at Beach Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi. Kamal has since held various executive positions in Rotana, including executive assistant manager at The Cove Rotana Resort in Ras Al Khaimah, general manager at Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa and, most recently, general manager in Salalah Rotana Resort, the leading resort in Oman.
During his leadership tenure in Oman, Kamal led the team to receive the ‘Hotel of the Year’ award at the Rotana Annual Conference in 2016, while in 2007, he was awarded as the ‘Manager of the Year’.
