Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi has welcomed Savino Leone as its new general manager.
Leone, an Italian national, joined the property on November 1 and will use his 25+ years of hospitality experience to lead the hotel, drive luxury service and quality standards, and develop teams.
He has held numerous positions in hospitality in countries such as Japan, Egypt, the UK, Dubai and France, and has been at the helm of several successful hotel openings.
Well acquainted with the Jumeirah Group, Leone was originally appointed in 2017 as the general manager of Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa in Kuwait. During his tenure at the property, the hotel retained its number one position in RGI and on TripAdvisor, and maintained an outstanding reputation. Under his leadership, the team achieved 11 awards in 2018.
“It is a privilege to be joining the incredible team at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort, a hotel that has become synonymous with leading luxury hospitality throughout the region,” Leone said. “I am delighted to be continuing my journey with Jumeirah Group at this breath-taking hotel, and I look forward to welcoming guests to this unique destination.”
