The luxurious Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay in Egypt has welcomed Lars Pursche as general manager.
He most recently served as the general manager of Kempinski Hotel Huizhou in Southern China, Guangdong Province, and assumes his new position with valuable knowledge and experience.
Having been part of the Kempinski family for six years, Pursche, a German national, began as a director of sales and marketing, and rapidly worked his way up the hierarchy ladder.
Armed with an MBA degree in Hospitality & Tourism, Pursche has had a fruitful hospitality career so far, having worked on three continents and in four countries. He has served with internationally renowned hotel chains including Le Méridien, Swissôtel, Hyatt, Steigenberger and Marriott.
Enthusing on his new challenge, he declared: “I am very excited to have the chance of managing such an outstanding property and exclusive luxurious resort ideally nestled in Soma Bay – The pearl of the Red Sea.
