The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul has announced Can Göktaş as its new general manager, who is returning to the hotel having previously played a fundamental role in its opening in 2001 as the director of sales and marketing.
Throughout his extensive career in hospitality, Göktaş has served in a variety of roles. He began his journey with Divan Hotels and Swissôtel The Bosphorus in Istanbul after graduating from Bosphorus University with a degree in Tourism and Hotel Management in 1996.
Prior to his most recent appointment, he held high-level positions with Kempinski Hotels before becoming the company’s regional director of sales for Turkey and Southern Europe.
Throughout his tenure with Kempinski he scooped the prestigious CEO Award for his contribution to performance in 2013 and achieved the company’s Best Sales Award for the largest percentage increase in revenue in 2012.
In 2014, Göktaş completed his Master of Business of Administration from NEOMA Business School in Paris where he specialised in luxury brand marketing.
