Greece National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) held a special event offering free trips to various destinations in the country, at the recently-held exhibition IFTM Top Resa 2016 in Paris.
The event was held at the GNTO kiosk with the aim of promoting Greece as a destination and Greek tourism at the show.
Acting Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism for Greece, Eleni Kountoura; secretary general, GNTO, Demitris Tryfonopoulos; and Greece’s ambassador in Paris, Maria Theofyli were all present at the event, which was also attended by a large number of French tourism professionals, members of the French press, journalists and travel bloggers.
Within the event, there was the opportunity for Greek exhibitors and French attendees to network. A draw was also held to give away trips to Greece sponsored by the tourism organisation, and by three regions which were taking part in the show (East Macedonia-Thrace; Central Macedonia; and Crete), Volou Council and Aegean Airlines.
The trips on offer to the destination falls within the larger programme of promotional activities that GNTO is undertaking as part of the Ministry’s strategy to propel both popular and also new Greek destinations to foreign markets.
