On a mission to further entice the German market, a Golden Sands Hotel Apartments delegation recently visited Germany to meet with key tour operators.
The trip was organised to bolster relationships with key partners who have been recognised for their continuous promotion of Dubai and the property to the German market, which is a priority market for the hotel.
The Golden Sands Hotel Apartments delegation included the hotel’s general manager, Mohammad Khoori, as well as Nives Deininger, the property’s director of sales, both of whom shared vital information on industry developments and packages for the upcoming winter season during their visit. Meanwhile, trophies of appreciation were handed out to several key partners such as Thomas Cook GmbH, TUI Deutschland, Meier’s Weltreisen, Dertour and FTI Touristik.
Khoori commented: “We have plenty of opportunities to attract the German market and Dubai is still a popular long-haul destination so we should take advantage of this. Although the current political climate in the region and currency issues has impacted the pace of bookings for the winter season, we are still optimistic that we will be able to attract a considerable number of guests from Germany this year.”
Over the years, the German market has been key in developing the UAE’s tourism industry, with tourists flocking to the country in large numbers. German visitors have an average stay of five to six nights in Dubai.
Deininger remarked: “Our partners highlighted that some holidaymakers are also waiting to see whether to book due to the fluctuating rates in our city. As the supply of hotels and hotel apartments continues to increase, hotels vie for the incoming leisure business by extending attractive offers at the last minute. Overall, the visit to Germany was successful as it helped ensure constant communication and regular updates from both sides.”
