Keen on further capitalising on the Indian market, Golden Sands Hotel Apartments successfully completed a Dubai tourism roadshow to India, headed by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
The roadshow, which kicked off on July 30 and concluded on August 3, stopped off in Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad and Mumbai, where attendees met with potential partners and buyers.
India represents a key market for Golden Sands Hotel Apartments, with about 30 per cent of its guests hailing from this country.
Further highlighting this market’s significance to Dubai, DTCM recently revealed that visitors from India increased by seven per cent in the first quarter of 2018.
General manager, Golden Sands Hotel Apartments, Mohammed Khoori declared: “We are very keen to get a share of this growing market so we met with several partners who can promote Golden Sands Hotel Apartments to travellers from these four cities. We received great feedback from tour operators and travel agencies who informed us that Indian travellers coming to the UAE are choosing Golden Sands as their preferred accommodation. We have a trust recommendation rate of 92 per cent from friends and family, so we hope that we received the same feedback from travellers from these other Indian cities.”
During the roadshow, the Golden Sands Hotel Apartments delegation met with a number of travel agents and tour operators who are working to sell Dubai as a destination for families and individuals, as well as niche segments such as golf, weddings and luxury.
